 In our class time in week 6, we learned about record keeping and other observational strategies to help with our assessments. We begin with watching multiple videos that showed us students proving their mathematical thinking through questions, charts, and discourse. Video tow showed us a way of guided math in the classroom from start to finish. Later we began taking notes on anecdotal record. Anecdotal records are brief notes teachers take as they observe children. These notes document ranges of behaviors such as " literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, the arts, social and emotional development, and physical development."  Later in the class we reviewed Lauren's assessments. Her second grade exit ticket based off math number sense and fractions of a set, showed us an in depth way of having a proper exit ticket for the given grade level classroom. This past week we began talking about learning objectives and started our assessment demo assignment. Learning Objectives are important to the teacher and the student because it helps them know what the students should be taking away from the lesson. At the end of each the lesson the teacher sets up the lesson so it can end with students understanding the objective. We also learned the ABCD method when going over learning objectives. The ABCD method helps us make sure we are including all parts of the lesson that should be there and so we don’t leave out key information. In the picture shown below, the method shows the different parts of the sentence that is broken up by color to show the correct way of how they should be used.        Reflecting on this past week of our Developmental, Formal and Informal Assessment class or ELEC 316, we reviewed and went over Blooms Taxonomy and Depth of Knowledge. The original Taxonomy was first created in 1956 and yet has been revised in the early 2000’s. Since then, we have been studying the steps or levels of the Bloom Taxonomy pyramid. Blooms Taxonomy is a system of hierarchical models used to categorize learning objectives into varying levels of complexity. The content of the levels gets more inn depth the farther up you go on the pyramid. The 6 levels of the Blooms Taxonomy pyramid are remembered, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create. You can use any step of this pyramid to work on any subject or topic that you may pursue. DOK or Depths of Knowledge is a framework used to identify the involvement and extent of an assessment.  In this past week I was not present in class, but after catching up on the work missed I learned about documentation and all the different types of it. Documentation panels are to show how and what your children are learning in the classroom. I definitely feel this would be beneficial for my classroom and my future years as an educator. I think students being able to see their own growth in the classroom and others looking as well. I feel learnig about these styles was helpful for seeing all the possible ways of how not only the teacher and the student seeing their work and progress throughout the school year, but how other peers including family, can see it whenever they go into the school. This help mes understand and see my students growth throughout the year and to help myself grow as a teacher over time. 

 In week two of this school year we discussed recording observation with examples of the different kinds like running record, anecdotal record, time sampling anf event sampling. While doing this our group worked well with each other in discussin gon what prompt or problem went in the correct pile. We also completed rubric's for our students if we would be assessing them. I noticed everyone else's rubric were very detailed while my group was short on information and detail with our rubric. I can understand how this could effect a student and how confusing this could be for them to understand, but I have learned from past errors and my group and I are now confident with what and how we need to grade the students accurately. 

 In this past week, it was very overwhelming at first. Coming into my junior year of college was very nerve racking. But I learned about assessment and why we assess children. I felt this was a good topic to start on week one. It involved some definitions which I wrote down in my notes to make sure I have for future notice. I reviewed and looked over the documents we were assigned to read and look over about learning and assesmment in Kindergarten. Friday we reviewed the difference between formative and summative assesment. I read over the 5 common types of educational assessment and found that beneficial for myself to understand for my future in becoming an educator.
